The Spotted Gentian (Gentiana punctata) is a perennial herbaceous plant. The leaves are ovate, petiolate, the flowers are bell-shaped, yellow, with dark violet spots. It grows in mountain meadows and pastures at an altitude between 1800 and 2700 m. Flowers in June-July.
The Spotted Gentian is a protected plant in some countries.
