Amorbus alternatus is a leaf-footed bug found in Australia.

while the other has 3 small spots. The spots on the legs are different too.

According to Peter Chew the former is Amorbus alternatus and the latter (same as this one) is an unidentified species. The question is are they two different species or not?

They are so mixed up that I am not sure who is right and who's wrong.

Yes I see what you mean , the more you search the more confusing it is. My background is in animal husbandry, but in taxonomy I relay on expert like your selfs. But of course I am learning. Posted 5 years ago
