Araneus dimidiatus is a species of orb-weaving spider found in Eastern Australia. It was described in 1871 by Ludwig Carl Christian Koch.
A common spider in coastal bushland. It hides in a curled leaf with the tips of its legs showing, similar to Phonognatha graeffei.
