  1. I am pretty sure this is an Egyptian locust (Anacridium aegyptium), not a migratory locust, because of the striped eyes. However, this species is not supposed to be present in Australia. Where did you find it? Are there many of them? There is an Exotic Plant Pest Hotline (1800 084 881). You should try to call them and see if they would be interested.
