  1. Certainly NOT Chrysoperla carnea ;o) At first glance I would have named it a Pseudomallada sp, but it turns out that the Australian species have been named differently (until recently). This species is featured in the revision of the Australian Chrysopidae as Chrysopa edwardsi, but has later been moved to Apertochrysa. Recent research would have it moved to Pseudomallada, which to me really seems to make sense from a habitus point of view :o) Posted 7 years ago

Apertochrysa edwardsi (Banks, 1940) is a Green Lacewing (Chrysopidae) known from various parts of Australia. Like most Chrysopidae it was originally described in the genus Chrysopa. It is mainly an arboreal species, not very often found in crop fields.
