Nemastoma dentigerum - ID character
In the Netherlands this is the only species of Nemastomatidae that is always entirely black (no white/silver markings), but some rare forms of Nemastoma lugubre and N. bimaculatum exist that also lack markings, therefore it is necessary to ID by morphological traits, not lacking colour pattern. For this the males have a clearly recognizable (well on a 1.7mm critter?) tooth apically under the femora of the palps. Females are harder to identify without microscopic examination, or it would have to be by slightly smaller size and very slight differences in habitus (very iffy on photos).

Nemastoma dentigerum is a small (1,5-1,9mm) species of harvestmen (Opiliones) in the family Nemastomatidae. It is one of few species that are always entirely black, without white markings, but of the species that do normally carry white markings some rare forms exist without markings too. Even so, the males of this species can be readily identified by a prominent tooth under the femora of the palps.
