Can you find me? Female Phasmid of the species Orthostheneboea yehi, seen in a high altitude Mossy Forest of above 2,000 masl.<br />
The holotype specimen of this species was mentioned from Tapah Hills, which is a much lower altitude location, so am not sure if that information is reliable or accurate.<br />
<br />
As found at much higher altitude, the temperatures at night can easily falls below 10C and the lowest recorded night temperature is around 5-6C.  <br />
<br />
This species seems to be adaptable to the mossy surrounding and well camouflaged in its surrounding.<br />
Not sure if this species have been photographed before even though it was described in 1999.<br />

      And yes, this was a very nice find. I only saw small nymphs on the first night and decided to go back to the same place again the next evening with the hope to find an adult, and there she was! :)
