Crested Hawk Eagle It's one of the rare occasion where this guy has allowed to take as many images as possible until satisfied. Till now for me, they were either perched on an area where there is no light or they would be quite far, even for a 1000mm would struggle to reach.
This was sitting quite close to the road, busy with itself. This was the first light coming after a shower and more importantly falling on the bird, which is a bonus.
The changeable hawk-eagle or crested hawk-eagle is a bird of prey species of the family Accipitridae. It was formerly placed in the genus "Spizaetus", but studies pointed to the group being paraphyletic resulting in the Old World members being placed in "Nisaetus" and separated from the New World species.
