Grey-necked Bunting
While taking point count during survey I saw flock of grey necked bunting near a puddle(my first and only sighting till date) and I was aware that I can only get it's shot only if I could manage manual focus. So i crawled near the puddle and waited for long and birds started getting comfortable and slowly slowly this individual came comparatively closer and was moving fast. Just before it could dive in that puddle I had to get a record focussing manually (camera was not working hence no autofocus) and in given conditions it was not possible to get a shot once bird goes for the puddle.. I could only manage this shot and I am quite satisfied given the conditions..

Was jobless for quite sometime untill I got new job as analyst and since February 2017 was wrapped up in Biodiversity surveys.. I would definitely share data which I can from these surveys)

The grey-necked bunting , sometimes referred to as grey-hooded bunting is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family. It breeds along a wide distribution range from the Caspian Sea to the Altai Mountains in Central Asia and winters in parts of Southern Asia. Like other buntings it is found in small flocks.
