    1. Thanx Ferdy - my pleasure and a big thanks to you again for making this platform available(!) The uploads in the last weeks were mostly fall-out from sorting through my unidentified/unsorted photo's and uploading some in the process - mostly when I stumbled on already cropped/prepared ones. I now have everything sorted by species again, but still need to sort through the bulk of that to find good ones :-/ Most are quite old though, I'm afraid. Need to get out more an shoot newer, better images *rolleyes*

Exochomus nigromaculatus Goeze, 1777 is a small (3,5-4,5mm) Ladybird beetle (Coccinellidae) in the subfamily Chilocorinae, tribe Chilocorini. Being bound to specific habitats in heath/moorlands its presence is always limited locally and its mostly considered a rare/scarce species.
