Above all this shot is also a technical test, I&#039;ve added a 1.4x convertor to our 80-400mm tele, and wanted to test its performance. This explains the 550mm focal length (positive), but also the f/8 minimum aperture (negative). In these good conditions the combination works well. A very regular visitor to our garden for several years. Outranked by several bigger regular birds in feeding order, but this one is clever.

The Eurasian collared dove, most often simply called the collared dove, also sometimes hyphenated as Eurasian collared-dove, is a species of dove native to warm temperate and subtropical Asia, and introduced in North America in 1980s.
