Urginea maritima is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Scilloideae (old family Hyacinthaceae). This species is known by several common names, including scilla, sea onion, onion-albarran and marine scilla. It can also be called red scilla, particularly a form that produces flowers with red touches instead of white. It is native to southern Europe, western Asia and northern Africa.
