Cerros de Mavecure, Inírida, Colombia This unique geological scene is a two hour boat fare away from the Inírida port. On this day, we were the first to arrive, having it all to ourselves. The site is bizarre and consists of 3 mountains that seem to appear out of nowhere in a surrounding environment that is almost entirely flat for hundreds of miles.

We had to climb up on the other side to get this overview shot, which shows on the left the mountain Mono (Monkey, 480m) and on the right Pajarito (Little Bird, 712m).
