
Sipping Water
Saw this juvenile Philippine Whipsnake - Dryophiops philippina during a hot day when it suddenly started to rain.
It was along a busy road and when I passed it, I thought it was just a twig, small and slender (half a meter length, body thickness less than 1 cm), looking like a twig or small branch. I had to do a double take and was pleasantly surprised that it was a Snake!
Then I realised it was actually drinking the fresh water that was gathering on the leaf.

That's true, the same applies when I am on my night walks, so many Stick Insects that needs a double take :D Posted 8 years ago
