      Fantastic, thank you very much. I did see this species but discounted it. I suppose like most insects, the eye colour changes during the day to aid with low light vision Posted 8 years ago

The Citrus flatid planthopper

"Metcalfa pruinosa", the citrus flatid planthopper, is a species of insect in the Flatidae family of planthoppers first described by Thomas Say in 1830.
