Painted leaf (Euphorbia cyathophora)
Single stem plant growing along coastal areas . The first plant I found I could not separate the flower petals from the leaf and wasn’t sure why. It really looks like painted onto the leaf. After a while I found more and many had the petals separated from the leaf.
It is native to the tropical areas of North America and South America . Introduced to Australia and is declared a weed along much of Australias east coast.

''Euphorbia cyathophora'', known by various names including dwarf poinsettia, fire-on-the-mountain, and paintedleaf, is native to North and South America and naturalized elsewhere. They belong to the Cyathium type of inflorescence. Here, the inflorescence axis is convex in shape.
