  1. Great job capturing the bats. I was there in the last week of July but couldn't get any close to a photo like this. Posted 11 months ago
    1. I used a powerful headlamp and a 400mm lens. It was very difficult to get a sharp photo, and I made only a couple of shots as I didn't want to disturb them. It was close to sunset and they started to fly around and get out of the cave. It was really very interesting watching them! Posted 11 months ago

The lesser horseshoe bat , is a type of European bat related to but smaller than its cousin, the greater horseshoe bat. The species gets its name from its distinctive horseshoe-shaped nose.
