  1. Great job capturing the bats. I was there in the last week of July but couldn't get any close to a photo like this. Posted 5 years ago
    1. I used a powerful headlamp and a 400mm lens. It was very difficult to get a sharp photo, and I made only a couple of shots as I didn't want to disturb them. It was close to sunset and they started to fly around and get out of the cave. It was really very interesting watching them! Posted 5 years ago

The lesser horseshoe bat , is a type of European bat related to but smaller than its cousin, the greater horseshoe bat. The species gets its name from its distinctive horseshoe-shaped nose.
