  1. Beautiful! And quite cruel. Posted 8 years ago
    1. Yes, seems so, but again, that's nature, to find the balance between prey and predators and keeping population in checks. In fact, there are certain species of Nudibranchs that are carnivorous, hunting and feeding on other Nudibranch species! Haven't got the opportunity to see the hunt/kill and eating, in person yet though :( Posted 8 years ago
      1. Surprising, given how many you've seen so far! Posted 8 years ago
        1. What I have shared is probably just 10% or less, of Nudibranchs around the world.
Was diving with a Nudibranch specialist and she has recorded many more of them.
And one of the key Scientist/Taxanomist on Nudibranch have discovered more than 1,000 species to-date, by earlier this year.

This is a video from You Tube showing the hunting Nudibranch :

            1. I broached the subject, showed her my a/c.
She is an active Admin member of another forum.
Besides, all the Nudibranch posts that I have, she helped with the ID, at least to the genus level and that's not because she is not sure of the exact IDs, but those species are undescribed.
