  1. Great shot! Wild or captive? Posted 8 years ago
    1. Captive. I ran into a park ranger and he showed him to me, it's a pet. Posted 8 years ago
      1. One not to mess with, I read. Posted 8 years ago
  2. Beautiful picture, but I would not like him as a pet. Posted 8 years ago
  3. I wouldn't want him as a pet either. My luck he would get out and surprise me under the blankets. Posted 8 years ago
  4. That's a great photo of a good-looking snake. But I don't think that is Agkistrodon piscivorus (Cottonmouth). Its head is too narrow, it has circular pupils instead of vertical pupils, the scale pattern doesn't look right, and I don't see any sign of the "pits" that pit vipers such as Cottonmouths possess. I think this is some form of non-venomous diurnal snake in the Colubridae family, though I'm not sure which one. Maybe something in the genus Pantherophis. Posted 8 years ago, modified 8 years ago
  5. I added a couple more photos However It will be a couple weeks before i get back to the park, I will speak with him again to verify it. Posted 8 years ago
