The Longfin Grouper - Epinephelus quoyanus is whitish undercolor with closely set polygonal spots in varying shades of brown, brown diagonal band across breast, broad dark margin on anal fin, two darkish bands on throat under gill cover.

The longfin grouper is a grouper in the genus ''Epinephelus''. It is found in the Western Pacific, from Japan to Australia.
