      1. Really not easy to identify, I was thinking one of the puff-legs as you can just see some white fluffy bits but I couldn't find one with the same colouration. So I am still not 100%, I will try to look into it further when I have some time. Not bad for a compact! Posted 8 years ago

The sparkling violetear is a species of hummingbird. It is widespread in highlands of northern and western South America, including a large part of the Andes, the Venezuelan Coastal Range and the Tepuis.
