
Snake Blenny - Xiphasia setifer
The Snake Blenny - Xiphasia setifer is greatly elongate up to 0.5 meters, resemble an eel with a prominent dorsal fin; alternating dark and light brown bands. Usually burrows into the sand only with the head exposed, unless coming out to hunt.

''Xiphasia setifer'', the hairtail blenny or the snake blenny, is a species of combtooth blenny found in the western Pacific and Indian Oceans. This species reaches 53 cm in SL and is the longest species of combtooth blenny. It can also be found in the aquarium trade.
