Usually found in shallow areas among sea grass or attached to Sargassum algae.
Found this one washed ashore during low tide, put it back to the grassy area after taking pictures of it. It looks like it is carrying eggs on its belly.

The alligator pipefish or double-ended pipefish is a species of fish in the family Syngnathidae and is the only species in the monotypic genus ''Syngnathoides''.
