I'm Transparent! This Melibe engeli Nudibranch has a transparent body with brownish lines and some white spots. This one was around 2 cm in size, good size for taking pictures but was very difficult to focus on as its transparent.<br />

I was helping the filming crew from Taiwan, shooting for an underwater episode of their Underwater 30 meters TV Program in Taiwan. When I showed this Nudibranch to the host of the program during the dive, she didn&#039;t realised I was pointing to her a Nudibranch as she can hardly see it! The species Melibe engeli (Risbec, 1937) is a genus of sea slugs, nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Tethydidae.

Melibe is an active predator which traps fast-moving free-swimming animals such as small crustaceans, using its extendable oral hood.
