    1. Probably right around 4900 ft (1494m) - late June - early July is pretty typical for when these areas start to become mostly snow free and more hikeable. We had snowfall late into the spring this year too - so it's taking just a bit longer for it all to go away. There really wasn't much left, just a few small patches mostly in the shadier areas. It gets deep so it takes a while to melt even when the weather is hot.
