  You do make me doubtful. Our guide was pretty sure about this one and I'm seeing similar observations like this one:

    Well, your 3 other photos are clearly umbrellabirds. But in that other photo you linked, and this one:

    look in particular the length of the tail vs the width of the wings, and compare with your photo.
    Just upload it on birdforum or inaturalist and you'll get a definite answer! Posted 7 years ago

The Greater ani

The greater ani is a large bird in the cuckoo family. It is a breeding species from Panama and Trinidad through tropical South America to northern Argentina. It is sometimes referred to as the black cuckoo.
