Red admiral Hey guys, Here is a shot i made from a red admiral a few days back in the park near my house. it is my first time having a good atempt at capturing a butterfly in general. i did some shots a few month back, but i hadnt enough time before it flew away to to think about the shot. it sometimes was nervous but at a later point it stayed really calm while i was pretty damn close. when i was quickly reviewing one of my shots on the spot i saw it had a sheared wing, and later noticed the shearing was quitte bad in my eyes. when there was a wind gust, the right half really moved alot because of it.

the sharpness isnt great in my eyes, but i was shooting handheld because the butterfly was pretty nervous in the beginning and i wanted to be versatile. later when it was calm it was too low for my tri pod and too high for using my rice bag. but because i am not that stable while shooting handheld i knew i would have a harder time getting it like i wanted.

nonetheless i am pretty happy with the outcome, but i am not happy with some things. like sharpness or composition. i also am curious what you guys think of it. i am open for feedback as i am still learning. Geotagged,Netherlands,Red Admiral,Summer,Vanessa atalanta Click/tap to enlarge
