
Redtooth Triggerfish - Odonus niger
The Redtooth Triggerfish - Odonus niger is pale blue head, dark blue to purplish body; 2 blue lines extend from eye toward mouth, lunate tail with long lobes in adult. Form plankton-feeding aggregations above reef, retreat to reef recesses when threatened. Called Redtooth Triggerfish because its teeth are red in colour.

"Odonus niger" also known as the red-toothed triggerfish is a triggerfish of the tropical Indo-Pacific area, the sole member of its genus.
