The Greenthroat Parrotfish - Scarus prasiognathos is dark green with yellowish upper head and green below; broad green band across snout. During Initial Phase, they are reddish brown with some scattered white speckling.

''Scarus prasiognathos'', commonly known as Singapore parrotfish, is a marine fish native to the Indian and western Pacific Oceans, where it lives in coral reefs. French naturalist Achille Valenciennes described the species in 1840.
