Sugar Glider - Petaurus breviceps
This particular individual was bought as a Pet by my brother's neighbor for his son. When they had to move away and the boy no longer has interest in it, they asked if my Brother would keep it. It is unfortunate to see this animals being traded as pets.
The sugar glider is a small, omnivorous, arboreal, and nocturnal gliding possum belonging to the marsupial infraclass. The common name refers to its preference for sugary nectarous foods and ability to glide through the air, much like a flying squirrel.
