Gold-Ringed Cat Snake/Mangrove Snake
Saw this Gold-Ringed Cat Snake/Mangrove Snake - Boiga dendrophila during a night walk in Singapore and it was found quite low near the ground, this was able to take pictures of it, however, there was a Hepertologist in the group and he spend most of his time with it, as this was the only Snake we saw the whole night.
The gold-ringed cat snake or mangrove snake is a species of rear-fanged colubrid. It is one of the biggest cat snake species, averaging 6-8 feet in length. It is considered mildy-venomous, but moderate envenomations resulting in intense swelling have been reported, though there have been no severe cases of hospitalisation or fatalities.
