Red Tailed Green Rat Snake - Gonyosoma oxycephalum Saw this Red Tailed Green Rat Snake - Gonyosoma oxycephalum during a night walk, and it was slithering on the rails of the walkway, which gave me a shock when I saw it, as my hands were just inches away from it. After realising it is a non-venomous snakes, we tried to take some close-up shots of it, and it then 'curled' up as seen in the picture, probably as a defensive posture. Although its name mentioned the tail is red, it is mostly brown in colour. Geotagged,Gonyosoma oxycephalum,Malaysia,Mulu,Rat Snake,Red-tailed green ratsnake,Sarawak,Snake,Winter Click/tap to enlarge
