  1. To be lifted by these claws and a ripping wingspan of two and a halve meters must be something... Posted 13 years ago

  4. Fantastic shot Ludo! I recently tried photographing at a bird show and it's quite hard. Posted 13 years ago, modified 13 years ago
    1. Thanks Ferdy, also for promoting it! It was hard for me too, I shot lots and lots of photos, moving the camera in a sometimes fluid motion in sync with the birds. Only when in sync I made sharp focus non-blur photos, it was quite a feat;) some shots were great, lots of them meagre;) Posted 13 years ago
      1. Good point, "panning" I think the word is. Another possible trick is to not be tempted to maximize focal length. At maximum focal length the bird moves a lot faster across your viewport. By keeping more distance and cropping later you may have a bigger chance at success. Posted 13 years ago

The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. A sea eagle, it has two known subspecies and forms a species pair with the white-tailed eagle, which occupies the same niche as the bald eagle in the Palearctic. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico.
