Longspine Pufferfish - Diodon holocanthus

This pair of Longspine Pufferfish - Diodon holocanthus were taking a rest at the sea bottom.
Like all other Pufferfish, they have the ability to 'blow' themselves up as a defensive mechanism.

    1. Yes, you can see the one in front, probably a female has its belly on the sea bottom. The one at the back, probably a male is also resting on substrate, this is probably their way to conserves energy. Posted 8 years ago

        1. Well, they were most likely 'courting', have not seen them 'mating' yet.
          Probably they are shy :p
