
''Amphioctopus marginatus'', also known as the coconut octopus and veined octopus, is a medium-sized cephalopod belonging to the genus ''Amphioctopus''. It is found in tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It commonly preys upon shrimp, crabs, and clams, and displays unusual behavior including bipedal walking and tool use .

We have been very fortunate as there is a dive site where we can see them very reliably and quite often, in a single dive, we may see more than 10 of them. I have been fortunate to observe them with their antics, using various stuff to protect themselves, hunting and catching shrimps/crabs and also those carrying eggs including 'giving birth' releasing their babies.
