
Occelated Blue-ringed Octopus - Amphioctopus mototi
This Occelated Blue-ringed Octopus - Amphioctopus mototi has two blue-rings/circles, one on each side below the eyes, visible when it wants to warn off predators or threatened. Like the more famous Blue-ringed Octopus, they are venomous but not aggressive and is not likely to bite humans. It uses its venom to paralyze its prey, mostly crustaceans.
