Laying eggs in blue ootheca This Giant Asian Mantis - Hierodula sp was seen laying her eggs in her blue coloured ootheca.  Freshly laid Ootheca can be bluish in colour and will turns to brown after a few days.<br />

Update : Not definitely sure, possibly Hierodula tenuidentata; there are 2 sub-species :<br />
- Hierodula tenuidentata darvasica Lindt, 1963<br />

    1. Yes it was, but I was only able to take a few pics as my friend reminded me, that my bright lights may be disturbing it, as this was seen during a night walk. Posted 8 years ago
