Wallaby (?) This Wallaby was seen at Ahe Island, off Nabire, West Papua.<br />
It was kept by the locals as pet.  They told me this is a Tree Kangaroo, but based on the looks of the legs, it doesn&#039;t looks like this one is capable of climbing.<br />

Not very big, it was less than 1 meter in height.<br />

Update : Possibly Dorcopsis muelleri - Brown Dorcopsis which is reported from this locality.<br />

The brown dorcopsis , also known as the brown forest wallaby, is a species of marsupial in the family Macropodidae. It is endemic to the lowlands of West New Guinea and the nearby Indonesian islands in West Papua of Misool, Salawati, and Yapen.
