Sticky Couple

This is a pair of Phasmid of the species - Abrosoma festinatum.
They are small in size, female around 5-6 cm and male, 3.5 - 4 cm. In this picture, they are pairing with the smaller male riding on top of the female, while the female is feeding. This species is known to have a strange behaviour whereby the male tends to 'ride' on the female for long time, for days or more.

In this picture, the female is also carrying an egg. They will just drop the egg to the forest floor.
