Cone Shell This is a fairly common Cone Shell - Euprotomus bulla, usually buried under the sands and they come out at night to feed.  They have interesting eyes at the end of their eye stalks.<br />

Cone Shell

This is a fairly common Cone Shell - Euprotomus bulla, usually buried under the sands and they come out at night to feed. They have interesting eyes at the end of their eye stalks.

This was wrongly identified as Euprotomus vomer previously.

    1. Yes, a photographer friend submitted a picture of this Euprotomus vomer to an Underwater Photo Competition recently and he won for the category of Macro. Of course, his picture is much better than this picture. After he won the competition, he shared his picture and an expert in Marine Life gave the ID :) Posted 8 years ago
