
Yellow Pygmy Seahorse
This Bargibanti Pygmy Seahorse - Hippocampus bargibanti is already the biggest among the Pygmy Seahorse, but still very small in size, usually around 2-2.5 cm. This is one of the bigger ones found on the seafan, there were 5 of them and this one looks pregnant. It is the males among the Seahorses that carries the baby in their pouch. They takes in the colour of the host seafan, in this instance, it is yellow in colour. They can also be found in orange and pink/purple colours. The body has tubercles which makes them camouflage well among the seafan as the tubercles looks like the retracted polyps of the seafans.

Hippocampus bargibanti, also known as Bargibant's seahorse or the pygmy seahorse, is a seahorse of the family Syngnathidae found in the central Indo-Pacific area.
