Marmot siblings

This time I found a great big family - I saw about 5 of the little guys out at once and could hear another (maybe mom) out in the scrub gathering up food. Rather than living in a rock outcrop, these ones lived under a large log. Old Mr. Sauer, who's property this trail starts on told me he had the log moved there when he noticed a resident marmot, so they'd have place to hide from dogs. Well, it looks like they've fully adopted their offered home and started a family. He said his next idea is to have his sons move an another old log to provide a home for the turkey vultures he's seen recently.
