Country intro
Argiope sp., Inírida, Colombia
Likely an Argiope species of spider found in the Colombian Amazon. I'm not sure of the exact species yet. Two interesting details from this photo:
- In the top, I'm fairly sure it is the male, look at that difference in size!
- The zigzag lines in the web are called a stabilimentum, there's various theories about its function:

"Argiope argentata" is a member of the "Argiope" genus of spiders and is also known as the Silver Argiope.
