Lions - Yorkshire Wildlife Park A beautiful moment of tenderness between these brothers - grooming each other and snoozing. These were by far my favorite animal that I saw. Just awe inspiring. I was lucky to hear them roaring too in response to the roars of 'Simba' in another part of the park. So incredibly beautiful. Geotagged,Lion,Panthera leo,Spring,United Kingdom Click/tap to enlarge

The lion is one of the five big cats in the genus "Panthera" and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger.
