    1. Thanks Ferdy. I do feel a little guilty as I spotted the poor bird in one dam, managed a few shots before he saw me and flew off with his catch, only to be attacked my the dreaded coot in the next dam. He had to fly to the other end in order to eat his breakfast in peace. Then of course was that damned photographer lurking in the bushes!!!
      Always amazes me the size of the fish some of these birds can swallow.

The reed cormorant , also known as the long-tailed cormorant, is a bird in the cormorant family Phalacrocoracidae. It breeds in much of Africa south of the Sahara, and Madagascar. It is resident but undertakes some seasonal movements.
