Squirrel Monkey - Yorkshire Wildlife Park I'm reluctant to enter the species/location as it will unfairly skew the points system in my favour. This picture was taken at a Wildlife Park in Yorkshire - I'm uploading it because I like it and I thought it captured the moment perfectly. This was taken from a fair distance away with quick moving targets. Not sure if it was luck or skill that allowed me to get this shot but I love everything about it. 1. Lovely photo I agree. I don't understand your reluctance to identify though. Many of us have posted photos taken in zoos and wildlife parks! Posted 8 years ago
    1. Thanks Claire :) I think my main concern is that if I were to put the location down, any searches on this species would show that there are squirrel monkeys in the UK (if only lol). I'll drop Ferdy a message and see if there's a specific tag that could be used for creatures like this that have been photographed in a zoo/wildlife park/etc that also states that the creature is not native to the country it was pictured in. Perhaps I'm just over thinking things :D Posted 8 years ago
      1. Stuart, thanks for taking the courtesy to ask, but there's no need to hold back. Zoo photos are allowed and you are encouraged to identify such photos and also set the location.

There currently is no way to make a distinction between a wild/zoo species in JungleDragon in a systemic way. We may have that in the future, but for now it is enough to just mention it in the description. Hope this helps.

        1. Hi Ferdy, that's great, thank you for clearing that up. More pictures will be uploaded shortly then! For anyone who is interested, The Yorkshire Wildlife Park is wonderful and well worth a visit! Posted 8 years ago
          1. You're welcome, and I forgot to mention it really is a great photo. Posted 8 years ago
            1. :) Thank you - made me smile Posted 8 years ago
        2. I think it would be interesting to have some sort of tagging system for zoo photos and even non-native/invasive species! Posted 7 years ago
      2. There is a 485Zoo tag that I use in such case. If you have more photos from the same place you can also make a tag with the name of the park to group them.

          1. You're welcome, I see that you've created a list - that works too. Actualy, I have both a tag and a list for my BAS botanical garden collection. The main difference is that anyone can use the tag if they have photos from the same place but only you can add to the list. Posted 8 years ago, modified 8 years ago
      3. I had the same concerns, I think if I remember rightly I was tagging zoo photo's with the word 'Captive', if not then I planned to ;) I don't know if it helps, just makes me feel better. Putting the location in the title as you have is probably a good idea and one that I shall adopt as this makes it more obvious when doing a search. Posted 8 years ago
