  1. They are fun and interesting birds. I like the dutch name for them a lot better: "boomklever" (tree-sticker), much more descriptive of their behavior where they walk up and down a tree. German name could be similar? Posted 8 years ago
    1. The German name is almost identical but without the "tree" part (boom). In German they are just called Kleiber (Dutch - Klever) but I didn't realize that it meant sticker - cool, thanks. Posted 8 years ago

The Eurasian Nuthatch is a small passerine found throughout temperate Europe and Asia. It belongs to the nuthatch family Sittidae. This bird is the most common and most widespread nuthatch, and is often referred to just as the Nuthatch.
