Eurasian Nuthatch in the garden

Not particularly exotic, but still a cool bird that is fun to watch when walking the dog and can even be watched sometimes on nice spring days from the terrace.

They are fun and interesting birds. I like the dutch name for them a lot better: "boomklever" (tree-sticker), much more descriptive of their behavior where they walk up and down a tree. German name could be similar? Posted 8 years ago

  The German name is almost identical but without the "tree" part (boom). In German they are just called Kleiber (Dutch - Klever) but I didn't realize that it meant sticker - cool, thanks. Posted 8 years ago
