    1. Indeed, they are charming. I would not call them "social" but they do allow us to approach them as close as 10 cm face to face. The only response is that one or the other may put out their tongue to "taste" us. Posted 8 years ago

    1. Hello Doris, they do produce a mild venom, so recent research shows, that can cause slight irritation and reddening of the skin. They bite as a last resort and it is usually due in response to trying to pick them up or handling them roughly. Something I have not yet done. Gary Posted 8 years ago
