
"Nicodamus peregrinus" is a spider found in eastern and southern Australia. Unlike the redback spider, the bright red coloration does not appear to warn of significant danger to humans. Food is a variety of small insects. They have been recorded in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

Yes it is a showy spider but it knows how to hide and you don't see it often. It is also very fast.

I found that spider only twice in 5 or 6 years . Both times in Victoria. Posted 5 years ago
