Ruby Topaz, Inírida, Colombia
Given how gorgeous this bird is (check other photos online), this photo does not do justice to its beauty. I'm still very happy for seeing it, although it has a sizable range, it is not that often seen. At the very least, our guide was extremely excited that we saw this, which he only found out minutes ago, it was not in the checklist we maintained.

The ruby-topaz hummingbird is a small bird that breeds in the Lesser Antilles and tropical northern South America from Colombia, Venezuela and the Guyanas, south to central Brazil and northern Bolivia; also from Colombia into southern Panama. It is the only member of the genus "Chrysolampis". It is a seasonal migrant, although its movements are not well understood.
